FREE INDEED

FREE INDEED 6- DAY DEVO

WEEKLY CHALLENGE

This week, do not just celebrate freedom.

Live free.
Worship free.
Pray free.
Walk free.
Speak free.
Forgive free.
Serve free.

Because Jesus did not die to decorate your prison.
He died to open the door.
If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.

DAY 1

Paradise Became A Prison

Scripture
Romans 5:12
“Through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin…”

Teaching
God created humanity for fellowship, freedom, and life with Him.
But when sin entered the world, paradise became a prison.
Sin did not just create bad behavior. It created bondage. Humanity became trapped under shame, death, darkness, and separation from God.
That is why we needed more than advice.
We needed a Deliverer.
Jesus did not come because we were mildly confused. He came because we were spiritually bound and desperately in need.

Reflection
Where have I treated sin lightly instead of recognizing it as bondage?

Prayer
Jesus, thank You for seeing me in my need. Thank You for stepping into my brokenness and making a way out. Open my eyes to anything that still tries to imprison my heart. Amen.

Activation
Write down one thing Jesus has delivered you from.

Declaration
I was bound by sin, but Jesus came to set me free.

DAY 2

Jesus Stepped Into My Prison

Scripture
John 1:14
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…”

Teaching
Jesus did not rescue humanity from a distance.
He came near.
He stepped into our world, took on flesh, walked among broken people, felt temptation, endured suffering, and understood our weakness.
He did not come to visit the prison.
He came to break it open.
The Deliverer became one of us so He could lead us out.

Reflection
Do I truly believe Jesus understands what I am walking through?

Prayer
Lord, thank You for coming near. Thank You for understanding my weakness, my pain, and my struggle. Help me trust You as the Deliverer who knows exactly how to bring me out. Amen.

Activation
Pray honestly today about one place where you feel trapped.

Declaration
Jesus came near to bring me out.

DAY 3

The Blood Paid The Price
Scripture
Hebrews 9:22
“Without shedding of blood there is no remission.”

Teaching
Freedom always costs something.
Our spiritual freedom was purchased by the blood of Jesus.
The cross was not symbolic. It was a substitution.
Jesus took our punishment, carried our sin, bore our shame, and paid the price we could not pay.
The blood still speaks.
It speaks of forgiveness.
It speaks mercy.
It speaks of freedom.
It speaks of victory.

Reflection
Have I become too casual about the blood of Jesus?

Prayer
Jesus, thank You for the blood. Thank You for the cross. Thank You for taking my place and paying my debt. Let gratitude rise in me again. Never let me lose wonder over what You did for me. Amen.

Activation
Spend time today worshiping Jesus specifically for the cross.

Declaration
The blood of Jesus has set me free.

DAY 4

Free Indeed

Scripture
John 8:36
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

Teaching
Jesus does not offer partial freedom.
He offers true freedom.
When Jesus sets you free, sin no longer owns you. Shame no longer defines you. Darkness no longer has the final word.
Freedom in Christ does not mean you never face a battle.
It means the prison door has been opened and you no longer belong to what once held you.
You are not bound.
You are free indeed.

Reflection
What old chain have I been allowing to speak over my life?

Prayer
Jesus, teach me to live free. Break every lie that tells me I still belong to my past. Remind me that Your word is greater than my shame and Your blood is greater than my bondage. Amen.

Activation
Say this out loud: “I am free indeed.”

Declaration
If Jesus set me free, I am free indeed.

DAY 5

Don’t Go Back To Chains

Scripture
Galatians 5:1
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free…”

Teaching
Freedom must be guarded.
The enemy loves to tempt free people back into old chains.
Old habits.
Old mindsets.
Old shame.
Old relationships.
Old patterns.
But Christ did not set you free so you could return to bondage.
Stand firm.
You may remember the prison, but you do not have to live there anymore.

Reflection
What old bondage tries to pull me back?

Prayer
Holy Spirit, help me stand firm in freedom. Give me the strength to resist old patterns and the courage to walk in the new life Jesus purchased for me. Keep my heart anchored in truth. Amen.

Activation
Remove one trigger, habit, or influence that pulls you backward.

Declaration
I will not return to what Jesus brought me out of.

DAY 6

Thank God For The Blood
Scripture
Revelation 1:5
“To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood…”

Teaching
The right response to freedom is worship.
We do not praise because life is perfect.
We praise because Jesus set us free.
We praise because the blood washed us.
We praise because the prison door opened.
We praise because we were lost, but now we are found.
Never let your salvation become normal.
Never let the blood become background noise.
You were in need.
Now you are free indeed.

Reflection
Has my gratitude for salvation grown dull?

Prayer
Jesus, restore my wonder. Let my worship come from the memory of what You brought me out of. Thank You for the blood. Thank You for freedom. Thank You for saving me when I could not save myself. Amen.

Activation
Share your testimony with one person this week.

Declaration
I thank God for the blood. I was in need, but now I am free indeed.
